Good morning, it’s seven forty, and this is Lauren Hayes with traffic and weather on River City Radio. First, traffic. There was an accident on Highway Nine near the airport about an hour ago. Nobody was hurt, but two lanes are still closed, so expect delays of twenty minutes. If you’re driving downtown, Lake Avenue is a better choice. The bridge on Fifth Street is open again after last week’s repairs.
Now, the weather. It’s cool and cloudy right now, about fifty-five degrees. It’s going to rain this afternoon, starting around two, so take an umbrella. Tomorrow is going to be sunny and warmer, with a high of seventy.
Now play the recording and read along. Then try saying it with the speaker, at the same speed.
