Last spring, my sister and I took a trip to Chicago for her birthday. We planned everything carefully, but the trip didn’t start well. Our flight was at six in the morning, so we left home at four. Then, at the airport, I saw a message on my phone. The flight was two hours late because of a storm.
When we finally arrived in Chicago, my suitcase didn’t arrive with us. I had only the clothes I was wearing! The airline found the bag the next day and brought it to our hotel. In the end, we laughed about it. Now I always pack a clean shirt in my carry-on bag.
Now play the recording and read along. Then try saying it with the speaker, at the same speed.
